Baraka Samson Mgaya

Baraka Samson Mgaya is an associate partner with specialist in corporate and commercial law with particular expertise in intellectual property, drafting and registration of security documents and securities regulation. He also advises on all aspects of outsourcing, information technology law and e-commerce law, with specific focus on the requirements of financial institutions and financial services providers in these areas. He provides practical advice and assistance in relation the impact of new regulations and assists clients in the effective and timely implementation of any required changes.

Education & Leadership

He advises boards of directors, senior management, in-house counsel and compliance officers on their obligations under new and existing banking and financial institutions regulations, assisting in implementing risk management programmes and compliance systems. He assists clients with the authorisation of new entities such as banks and investment services firms and the expansion of the activities of existing entities. Baraka holds Law degree from the Tumaini University. He is a qualified advocate and is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society and East Africa Law Society
